PACIFICA CALENDAR OF EVENTS AND MEETINGS
This page provides members and visitors information on events and meetings for PACIFICA nationally over the next 12 months including what the National Executive is up to. There is also a summary below of what the three key events are for the
PACIFICA regions and branches and dates which can also be found in the Calendar of Events.
We encourage Regions and Branches to submit key dates to email@example.com to load into the Master Calendar so people are aware of events and meetings. The Calendar
is updated monthly depending on the information provided.

Regional (Mini) Conferences
P.A.C.I.F.I.C.A Inc has a regional structure consisting of three regions: Northern, Central and South Island. Once a year, each region holds a regional conference where branches bring issues, project ideas / updates and achievements to the National Executive.
The Vice President of the region chairs the regional conference.
- Northern: Host – To be confirmed
- Central: Host – Whitireia Branch in Porirua, 27 May 2017, Whitireia NZ
- Southern: Host – 23-24 September 2017, Dunedin (Venue tbc).
National Council Meeting
Once a year, the National Executive meet with all branch presidents at the National Council Meeting. This is the official forum where general business items for the upcoming Annual General Meeting are tabled. The National President chairs this meeting and each branch has the right to exercise a singular vote.
Date: Saturday 28 October 2017, hosted by the Manukau Branch in Auckland.

Annual General Meeting
The Annual General Meeting (AGM) is held as part of the Annual National Conference, which is P.A.C.I.F.I.C.A Inc’s largest gathering in any year. Members throughout the country get together to conduct the main business of the organisation but also to celebrate being together. All members participate in the AGM and exercise their vote on all decisions made. Members participate in workshops in line with the yearly conference theme, weaving, fashion and speech contests and celebrating being together as Pacific women and enjoying the fellowship.
Elections of members of the National Executive take place biannually. All members of this team: Northern, Central and Southern Vice Presidents, National Secretary, National Treasurer, Youth Representative, National Assistant Secretary and National Assistant Treasurer stand down after two years but may be re-elected. There is no limit on the number of terms these women may serve. In line with the Constitution the National President can only serve a maximum of two terms (four years) before having to step down.
All Regional Conferences, the National Council Meeting, and the AGM, are preceded by a National Executive meeting.
