HISTORY

PACIFICA (Pacific Allied (Women’s) Council Inspires Faith in Ideals Concerning All Incorporated) is a non-profit community organisation that was founded in 1976 with a network of branches throughout Aotearoa-New Zealand. Our 22 branches operate in our three designated regions: Northern, Central and Southern.

From 2002 to 2010, PACIFICA branches fundraised to build an education fund to provide educational grants to assist Pacific students with their educational development and to help fulfil their dreams and aspirations. PACIFICA has been distributing these grants since 2010.


In 2026, PACIFICA Inc. is delighted to offer secondary education grants of $650.00 to two Pacific young women in each of the PACIFICA regions – Northern, Central, and Southern. So there are six grants on offer. We also offer tertiary education grants of $2,000.00 to two Pacific women in each of the PACIFICA regions – Northern, Central, and Southern. So there are six grants on offer.

2026 GRANTS​Growth

SECONDARY SCHOOL GRANTS

Applicants must currently be in Year 12 of secondary schooling and would benefit from some financial support in their education and to achieve their goals. Preference will be given to current PACIFICA members or close family of PACIFICA members.

Value: $650.00
2 x grants per region (6 recipients)
Female of Pacific descent
Year 12 student

ELIGIBILITY

APPLICATIONS are welcome from any female of Pacific descent who:

  • is a Year 12 student in 2026 and enrolled in a secondary school full time

  • holds New Zealand Citizenship or Permanent Residency or is a current PACIFICA member on a Student Visa

  • would benefit from some financial support in their secondary schooling

  • is willing to be profiled for PACIFICA's promotional purposes, and make a presentation at a PACIFICA event, if required.

  • is prepared to become a PACIFICA member (if not already) for at least 2 years.

TERTIARY EDUCATION GRANTS

Applicants must be currently undertaking undergraduate study and would benefit from some financial support to continue their tertiary education and achieve their goals. Preference will be given to current PACIFICA members or close family of PACIFICA members.

Value: $2,000.00
2 x grants per region (6 recipients)
Female of Pacific descent
Full-time undergraduate studies

ELIGIBILITY

APPLICATIONS are welcome from any female of Pacific descent who:

  • is currently enrolled in full time, undergraduate study in tertiary education in 2026 (Undergraduate qualifications: Certificates, Diplomas and Bachelor’s degrees)

  • holds New Zealand Citizenship or Permanent Residency or is a current PACIFICA member on a Student Visa

  • would benefit from some financial support in their tertiary study

  • is willing to be profiled for PACIFICA's promotional purposes, and make a presentation at a PACIFICA event, if required.

  • is prepared to become a PACIFICA member (if not already) for at least 2 years.
